Mobile phone locations - worldwide

Global Cell Coverage Maps (link)
  
  OpenSignal is a website that maps mobile phone towers on the world map.
  Clicking on any country in the world map (on the OpenSignal website) will show the network operators that have coverage there.
  Under the map (on their website) are listed numerous countries in their native language.
  http://opensignal.com/networks/

  To access the Australian map go to http://opensignal.com/coverage-maps/Australia/ where all providers are listed.
  For other countries, scroll down under main map to the country you want to check, then click on any provider listed there.
  New page will open with the new map. Scroll down to  View' all coverage maps  in the blue banner on the right side of the page
  and that will take you to map showing all providers in that area.
